Lady Gaga makes film debut, Director Robert Rodriguez has revealed Lady Gaga's movie debut. She has just completed filming her role as La Chameleon in 'Machete Kills', his sequel to 2010's grind house actioner 'Machete'.

Tweeting enthusiastically, Rodriguez said: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked so much a Holy Smokes. Blown away.”

Gaga in turn tweeted back confirming her work on the film, adding: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

Rodriguez also tweeted a picture of her on a poster, wearing what appears to be a wolf.

There's no release date as yet, but it has as star-studded a cast as its predecessor.

Appearing alongside Gaga and Danny Trejo's ex-cop Machete Cortez are Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Cuba Gooding Jr, Sofia Vergara and a cameo from Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States.

The plot centres on Machete being hired by the US government to track down an arms dealer in Mexico who is planning to launch a weapon into space.
