'Cloud Atlas’ directors reveal more than just back story. The directors yes plural of the much buzzed about, epic film "Cloud Atlas" have posted a video explaining how their ginormous cinematic production came together.

"The movie is hard to sell," explains one of the film's three directors Lana Wachowski (formerly Larry Wachowski).



The film, due in theaters in late October, spans several genres, hundreds of years and tests the limits of its actors, including Halle Berry and Tom Hanks, who play multiple characters.

And as the directors explain in the video Hollywood studios initially balked at the idea of a film with three directors.

Lady Gaga makes film debut, Director Robert Rodriguez has revealed Lady Gaga's movie debut. She has just completed filming her role as La Chameleon in 'Machete Kills', his sequel to 2010's grind house actioner 'Machete'.

Tweeting enthusiastically, Rodriguez said: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked so much a Holy Smokes. Blown away.”

Gaga in turn tweeted back confirming her work on the film, adding: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

Rodriguez also tweeted a picture of her on a poster, wearing what appears to be a wolf.

There's no release date as yet, but it has as star-studded a cast as its predecessor.

Appearing alongside Gaga and Danny Trejo's ex-cop Machete Cortez are Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Cuba Gooding Jr, Sofia Vergara and a cameo from Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States.

The plot centres on Machete being hired by the US government to track down an arms dealer in Mexico who is planning to launch a weapon into space.

All eyes on London and spectacular Games opening. All eyes turn to London on Friday for the Olympic opening ceremony, a three-hour showcase set to be watched by more than a billion people.

The three-hour showcase created by Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle will be watched by a crowd of 60,000 in the main stadium built in a run-down area of London's East End and a global audience of more than a billion.



Spectators will be urged to join in sing-a-longs and help create spectacular visual scenes at an event that sets the tone for the sporting extravaganza, when 16,000 athletes from 204 countries share the thrill of victory and despair of defeat with 11 million visitors.
